A fair that tells the story of the Mera plain
The Somaggia Fair is one of the most cherished events in the Municipality of Samolaco, in the province of Sondrio, at the entrance to Valchiavenna. It takes place in the hamlet of Somaggia, on the plain crossed by the Mera river, where the agricultural and livestock tradition of the lower valley finds a showcase every year.
What to expect
The fair combines the rural soul with the village festival spirit: livestock exhibition and market, stalls of typical and gastronomic products, craft stands, and activities along Via Don Giuseppe Cornaggia and the Campo Fiera area. It is a day designed for families and the curious, where you can stroll among the stalls and taste local specialties.

Samolaco is strategically located between Lake Mezzola and the entrance to Valchiavenna, in a landscape of meadows, vineyards, and ancient rural settlements. How to get there
Samolaco is accessible from the SS36 dello Spluga. The hamlet of Somaggia is located on the Mera plain. The nearest train station is Novate Mezzola, on the Colico-Chiavenna line.
