A night of street arts in the seaside village of Manduria
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The San Pietro in Bevagna Buskers Festival is a celebration of street arts that, for one summer evening, lights up the seaside hamlet of Manduria, in the province of Taranto, in the heart of the Ionian Puglia region. The small village of San Pietro in Bevagna, overlooking the sea and guardian of ancient history, becomes a vast, widespread stage where alleys, squares, and open spaces fill with crowds, colors, and wonder.
The format follows that of major busker festivals: fourteen performance spots are scattered along a free-entry route, each dedicated to a different form of live entertainment. From acrobats to jugglers, fire shows to aerial silk dance, street theater to clown comedy, and corners dedicated to music and art. It is an evening designed for families and children, yet capable of surprising adults thanks to the high quality of the artists involved.
The festival is more than just entertainment: the event highlights the village's heritage with free guided tours of the San Pietro sanctuary, a place of worship with Byzantine and Benedictine roots, and the nearby Chidro River nature reserve, one of the most evocative corners of the Manduria nature reserves. The presence of groups dedicated to pizzica and Southern Italian music pays homage to the local folk tradition, weaving together contemporary performance and Salento identity.
The event is promoted by the ArchiTA Festival association in collaboration with the Municipality of Manduria, with the support of the Puglia Region and Popularia OdV, and the moral patronage of Confcommercio Taranto. The artistic direction is entrusted to Fabrizio Iurlano. Founded in 2024 and confirmed in 2025 with its second edition, the festival has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated summer events on the Manduria coast, thanks to free admission and the festive atmosphere that envelops the entire village until late at night.
The San Pietro in Bevagna Buskers Festival returns in the summer of 2026 to the seaside village of Manduria, in the province of Taranto. Following the success of previous editions, the event is expected to feature the same format of widespread performance spots with street artists, fire shows, aerial dance, theater, live music, and children's entertainment, all with free admission.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been made official. We recommend following the social media channels of the Municipality of Manduria and the ArchiTA Festival to find out the date, program, and artists as soon as they are announced.
