The ultimate 1950s and 60s vintage party at Masseria Strazzati in Avetrana
The Rock'n'Roll Party is widely considered the largest gathering in Southern Italy dedicated to the culture and aesthetic of the 1950s and 60s. Born in the summer of 2006 in Erchie, the event has grown year after year, finding its natural home in the enchanting Masseria Strazzati, a 14th-century former monastery nestled in the countryside of Avetrana, in the heart of the province of Taranto, Puglia.
For one night, the masseria transforms into a living set: the garden becomes the ritual square, the woods a hidden stage, and the stone balconies windows for artistic appearances. It is not just a concert, but an immersive experience designed to surprise the audience at every turn, amidst natural stone, trees, and lights.
The program revolves around live rock'n'roll and rockabilly music, with bands, DJ sets, and wild dancing that keeps the night alive until the early hours. Alongside the music, numerous attractions recreate the vintage atmosphere:
Over the years, the Rock'n'Roll Party has become one of the most anticipated summer events in the Municipality of Avetrana and the entire Taranto area, capable of attracting thousands of participants from all over Puglia and other Italian regions. The historic setting of Masseria Strazzati, with its monastic past, adds charm to an evening that blends nostalgia, live music, entertainment, and conviviality into one great party with a taste of yesteryear.
The 18th edition of the Rock'n'Roll Party is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Masseria Strazzati in Avetrana, in the province of Taranto. The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is 'The Gardens of Sin': the garden, the woods, and the stone balconies of the masseria will once again transform into a natural stage for music, shows, and performances.
As per tradition, the evening will feature live rock'n'roll and rockabilly music, burlesque shows, pin-up dancers, classic American cars, a vintage market, and a street food area. The detailed program, artist line-up, and ticket information are generally published by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event on official channels.
The event takes place at Masseria Strazzati, in the countryside of Avetrana (TA), Puglia.
