RIFT Club: dancing inside a tuff quarry

Hidden in the countryside of San Giorgio Ionico, a small town in the province of Taranto, Puglia, RIFT Club is one of the most evocative venues in the Apulian landscape. Its uniqueness lies in its location: an open-air arena carved into a disused tuff quarry, where the walls hewn from light-colored stone become natural backdrops for a powerful sound system and nights of electronic music that last until dawn. The concept is captured in a phrase that has accompanied the project from the beginning: «a descent into the core of sound, sculpted in stone, surrounded by nature, driven by rhythm».

From a young gamble to a benchmark club

RIFT was born in the summer of 2025 from the vision of two young locals from the Taranto area, Antonio Marasco and Luca Pavone, joined for the 2026 season by Tommaso Dibello and Marco Talamo, with artistic direction and communication handled by VIIBRA. In just one season, the project established itself as one of the most talked-about destinations in the electronic nightlife of Southern Italy, attracting enthusiasts from all over Puglia and beyond, thanks to a program of curated DJ sets and an atmosphere that prioritizes sound quality over spectacle.

A no-social media philosophy

What truly sets RIFT apart is its "no-socials, just music" philosophy: during the nights, phone use is discouraged. The goal is to fully live the experience, dance, and connect without the mediation of screens. It is a return to the essence of clubbing, where the sound system, the dancefloor, and the connection with the music are what matter. The nights unfold from sunset until late at night, often lasting until the sun rises between the tuff walls.

International electronic music

The programming spans house, deep house, melodic techno, and electronica, featuring prominent guests from the international scene. Each night is a unique event with one or more artists on the bill and dedicated ticketing. Within the unique setting of the quarry, RIFT offers an immersive sonic experience that has few equals in the Salento and Ionian coastal regions.

Location

The club is located on Via Monti in San Giorgio Ionico (ZIP 74027), a few kilometers from Taranto and a short distance from the main Ionian coast resorts. Its position, nestled in the countryside among the quarries, contributes to the timeless atmosphere that characterizes every night.
