The San Pietro Festival in Valdastico is the patronal feast of the hamlet of San Pietro, in the upper Astico valley, in the province of Vicenza. Dedicated to the patron saint, it takes place at the end of June over three days and is one of the most cherished events of the Alto Astico summer, attracting residents from the districts and visitors from the valley.
Mountain Cuisine
The heart of the festival is the food stand, which brings the flavors of mountain tradition to the table:
- the Piatto Malga, with local cheeses and cured meats;
- homemade gnocchi, the stars of the community lunch on Sunday;
- gourmet focaccia with high hydration, introduced as a novelty in recent editions;
- bruschetta, fried items, and other specialties.
Music and Sport Among the Districts
The evenings are enlivened by live music, with concerts ranging from acoustic to funky-disco. The sporting event is a must: El Giro delle Contrà, the non-competitive footrace that crosses the districts of San Pietro, now in its 12th edition in 2025 and also open to children.
A Community Celebration
Organized by the Pro Loco of San Pietro Valdastico, the festival combines the religious dimension of the patronal feast with a convivial and popular one, confirming itself as a fundamental moment of aggregation for the hamlet and the entire valley.

The 2026 edition of the San Pietro Festival in Valdastico renews the patronal feast of the hamlet of San Pietro, in the upper Astico valley. The event is expected at the end of June, following the pattern of previous editions, with food stands, musical evenings, and the unmissable El Giro delle Contrà footrace.
