A unique territory between magredi and springs

The municipality of Cordenons is situated in a peculiar natural environment, suspended between the magredi — the arid gravel plains of the Cellina and Meduna torrent beds — and the risorgive, the purest spring waters that emerge from the subsoil. It is precisely this ecosystem that gives the local products unmistakable organoleptic characteristics, celebrated every spring by the Salotto del Gusto.

De.Co. Excellences

The event focuses on Cordenons' Municipal Denomination (De.Co.) products: white asparagus, grown in sandy soils with an unmistakable flavor; rainbow trout, farmed in the clear waters of the springs; hazelnuts and strawberries, fruits of the Cordenons land; and craft beer, including the famous Folpa, brewed with local barley and flavored with asparagus. A gastronomic heritage that tells the agricultural identity of the town.

A feast for the palate

For an entire weekend, Piazza della Vittoria and the surrounding areas come alive with stands, tastings, cooking shows, a producers' market, and offerings from local restaurateurs, who reinterpret the local raw materials. Farmers, breweries, and food operators meet in an occasion for valorization and celebration.

Heir to the Asparagus Salotto

Born as an evolution of the previous Asparagus Salotto, Salotto del Gusto has broadened its scope to include the entire De.Co. range of Cordenons. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Cordenons in collaboration with the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce, testifying to the commitment to promoting the territory's excellences and food and wine tourism.
