Four days of country-style festivities at Parco Aoni, by the lake in Calceranica
The Saints Peter and Paul Patronal Festival is one of the most cherished summer events in Calceranica al Lago, a small town overlooking Lake Caldonazzo in the Trentino region. The festival combines the religious significance of the patronal feast, dedicated to the apostles Peter and Paul, with a traditional country fair that enlivens Parco Aoni on Via degli Aoni for four days.
The heart of the festival is its gastronomic offering, with Trentino culinary specialties served every evening under the park's marquee. The menu features carne salada, porchetta, polenta, lucanica sausage, and traditional "pesatei," all enjoyed in the convivial atmosphere that has always defined this event. Admission is free, and the food court is open throughout the festival.
The program alternates between musical evenings, karaoke, and entertainment hosted by Radio Web Show. There are also bouncy castles and activities designed for children, making the festival a perfect destination for families, young people, and tourists alike. Organized for over six years by GS Valsugana ASD in collaboration with Radio Web Show, the event aims to engage all generations while preserving the authentic spirit of local tradition.
Alongside the country fair, Sunday is dedicated to religious observances in honor of the patron saints Peter and Paul, with Holy Mass held in the parish church. The day concludes with a traditional market animating the town's central streets.
Set on the shores of Lake Caldonazzo, the Patronal Festival of Calceranica al Lago is a wonderful opportunity to discover the hospitality of the Valsugana valley and enjoy a festive evening in a stunning natural setting in Trentino-Alto Adige.
The 2026 edition of the Saints Peter and Paul Patronal Festival was held at Parco Aoni in Calceranica al Lago from Thursday, June 25 to Sunday, June 28. The festival kicked off on Thursday evening with the opening of the food court and "The Social Karaoke" hosted by Radio Web Show. Throughout the weekend, the park offered lunches and dinners featuring Trentino specialties—carne salada, porchetta, polenta, lucanica, and the new meatballs in sauce—alongside bouncy castles and entertainment for children. On Saturday, June 27, the evening featured a live performance by Die Esel'n. Sunday combined the religious celebration of the patron saints with the town market, the debut of the Calceranica Lake Color Run (starting at 3:30 PM along the 5 km lakefront route, with five color stations), and the final dinner with a raffle draw.
