The Sopressa Festival

The Sagra della Sopressa De.C.O. is the flagship food and wine event in Valli del Pasubio, in the province of Vicenza, one of the longest-running and most beloved festivals in the Alto Vicentino region. The absolute star is the sopressa, the traditional cured meat of the town, protected by the De.C.O. (Denominazione Comunale d'Origine - Municipal Designation of Origin) status, produced according to precise rules by local producers.

Two Weeks of August Festivities

The event takes place for about two weeks in August, in Piazzale delle Scuole, and features a food stand where you can taste De.C.O. sopressa and traditional dishes, accompanied by concerts, dancing evenings, guided excursions on Mount Pasubio, and museum visits. The highlight is the fireworks display on Ferragosto night.

A Symbol of the Territory

Organized by the Pro Loco Valli del Pasubio, the festival promotes an iconic local product and combines gastronomy, music, and the discovery of the mountains. It's an opportunity to learn about the culture of the town at the foot of Mount Pasubio, amidst the Piccole Dolomiti (Little Dolomites), and to savor one of Veneto's finest cured meats.
