The patronal festival of Malo
The Malo Festival - Feast of Santa Libera is the main popular festival of Malo, a municipality in Alto Vicentino in the province of Vicenza. Dedicated to Saint Libera, it is traditionally held at the beginning of September in the Pascoletto area, the large green space near the municipal swimming pools.
Quail spit-roast, the specialty
The signature dish of the festival is the quail spit-roast, served with rich polenta, accompanied by grilled quail legs and a rich selection of cicchetti, in true Venetian style. The food stand also offers grilled meats and other local specialties, paired with local wines.
Music and popular atmosphere
The evenings are enlivened by live music: in the 2025 edition, for example, Furio of Pitura Freska took the stage. The festival maintains a genuine and popular atmosphere, made up of shared tables, toasts, and fun, making it one of the most cherished events in the Malo calendar.
A community event
Organized by the ProMalo association with the involvement of the parish, the festival is a moment of strong identity for the town. It takes place over the weekend at the beginning of September and ideally closes the summer season in Alto Vicentino.

How to get there
Malo is in the province of Vicenza, near Schio and Thiene. By car: take the Thiene-Schio exit of the A31 Valdastico motorway, then follow signs for the Pascoletto area (near the swimming pools).
Opening hours and admission
Free admission. The food stand is open in the evenings and, on holidays, also for lunch.
