The Sagra dell'Anguilla e del Gambero di Fiume di Beroide is one of the most heartfelt summer festivals in the countryside of Spoleto, in the province of Perugia. It takes place in the heart of Beroide, a hamlet nestled in the plain crossed by the waterways that have always nourished the local peasant cuisine. Here, eel and river prawn are not just a gastronomic curiosity, but the thread that binds the village to its history.

The Taverna del Castello

The heart of the event is the Taverna del Castello, the gastronomic stand that serves the festival's typical dishes every evening. Alongside eel, the absolute queen of the tables, you can enjoy river prawns and specialties of the Umbrian tradition, accompanied by local wines.

More than just a food festival

Beroide is not just about good food: the festival is also an opportunity to rediscover the village and its surroundings. The program includes evenings of music and dancing, entertainment for the little ones, ecological bike rides in the countryside, and guided tours to discover local history and the village churches.
