A mountain festival dedicated to summer truffle

The Sagra del Tartufo e dei Prodotti Tipici di Spina is one of the most established events of the summer in the Spoleto area. It takes place in the hamlet of Spina, a charming mountain village in the Municipality of Campello sul Clitunno, in the province of Perugia, and is organized by the Pro Loco of Spina with the contribution of numerous volunteers. Now in its fortieth edition, it combines culture, entertainment, gastronomic traditions, and attention to the environment and ecosystem.

Summer truffle takes center stage on the table

The heart of the festival is the summer truffle (scorzone), particularly abundant in this mountainous area. The food stalls open every evening and offer traditional dishes: strangozzi with truffle, bruschetta, gnocchi, polenta, lamb, sausages and scottadito, all the way to tiramisu. A gluten-free menu is also available by reservation, and on key days, a seated lunch is organized by reservation.

Music, shows, and village life

The warm summer evenings are enlivened by live music, with various bands taking turns, by shows, and by moments of discussion dedicated to the mountains and mountain villages. The event also offers excursions and guided tours of oil mills and Campello castles, with a shuttle service from Spoleto and Campello. A precious opportunity to discover the authenticity of a small Umbrian village, where the truffle tradition remains a living element of local identity.
