The Sagra del Mirtillo of Rasura
In Valgerola, one of the greenest side valleys in the province of Sondrio, the small municipality of Rasura celebrates the symbolic fruit of its mountain every summer with the Sagra del Mirtillo, nicknamed "the most purple event in Valtellina". Now in its 26th edition in 2025, the sagra is one of the longest-running and most beloved gastronomic events in the lower valley.
The program, spread over several days, revolves around blueberry-based cuisine, presented in sweet and savory dishes, and is enriched by live music, DJ sets, shows, craft markets, and activities for families. An unmissable event is the Mirtillo Sprint Running, the race that takes participants along the paths of Valgerola, as well as initiatives like the "Mirtillo Vertical" climbing competition and theatrical performances in recent editions.
Organized by Pro Loco Rasura-Mellarolo at the Centro Polifunzionale in via Ticc, the Sagra del Mirtillo attracts visitors from all over the province of Sondrio and beyond every year, becoming one of the best opportunities to discover the flavors and hospitality of Valgerola.

For Summer 2026, the Pro Loco Rasura-Mellarolo will again present the Sagra del Mirtillo at the Centro Polifunzionale in Rasura, Valgerola. The event confirms its multi-day format, traditionally held between late July and early August, featuring blueberry-based cuisine, live music, markets, and the Mirtillo Sprint Running race.
