The food and wine journey through the historic cellars of the upper Brembana Valley
Mezzoldo in Cantina is one of the most anticipated evenings of the summer in the upper Brembana Valley, in the municipality of Mezzoldo (province of Bergamo), a mountain village nestled at 835 meters above sea level, about forty kilometers from the provincial capital. For one evening, the ancient stone cellars of the village are opened and transformed into tasting points, along a route that winds through the most characteristic streets and corners of the settlement.
The heart of the event is the travelling food and wine journey: walking from one cellar to another, you can taste selected wines, cheeses, and cured meats, as well as the typical mountain specialties of the valley. The refreshment points are distributed throughout the village, combining tasting with the discovery of the place.
Around the food and wine route, the village comes alive with live music, craft stalls, and entertainment for children, in a festive atmosphere that brings together residents and visitors. The event, usually concentrated on a Saturday evening starting in the afternoon, has become a regular fixture on the Brembana summer calendar.
Mezzoldo is located along the road that climbs towards the San Marco pass, in one of the highest and most evocative parts of the Brembana Valley. The event is an opportunity to discover a small mountain municipality that, for one evening, transforms into an itinerary of taste and tradition.
The 2026 edition of Mezzoldo in Cantina is confirmed as an annual summer event in the upper Brembana Valley. The formula remains the established one: a travelling route through the historic cellars of the village, with refreshment points for tasting wines, cheeses, cured meats, and mountain specialties.
Alongside the tastings, the evening offers live music, craft stalls, and activities for the little ones. The precise date in August and the detailed program will be released by the organizers as the event approaches.
The exact date and timetable for the 2026 edition will be announced closer to the event (month of August).
