The Sagra del Colle, a summer festival in Montesilvano Colle

The Sagra del Colle is one of the most beloved summer events in the ancient village of Montesilvano Colle, the hilltop district of the town of Montesilvano, in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo. Established in 2022 and now in its fifth year, the festival enlivens the heart of the village for four consecutive evenings, transforming Piazza Umberto I into a grand stage for flavors and music.

The heart of the event is traditional cuisine. At the stalls set up in Piazza Umberto I, you can enjoy the essential arrosticini, fried pizza, sausage sandwiches, rustic focaccia, and excellent beers. The evenings generally begin around 7:00 PM, when the scent of the grill starts to drift through the village alleys, and families, young people, and visitors fill the squares until late at night.

Live music and Youth On Hill

Beyond gastronomy, the Sagra del Colle offers a rich entertainment program. Two stages, in Piazza Calabresi and on the Belvedere, host live concerts, tribute bands, karaoke, and shows. The festival is accompanied by the Youth On Hill music event, dedicated to emerging artists and young talents, bringing several nights of free music to the village. The traditional raffle draw, with prizes offered by local sponsors, is also a highlight.

A community celebration

The event is organized by the youth of the Azione Cattolica of Montesilvano Colle, linked to the San Michele Arcangelo parish, with the collaboration of local associations and the patronage of the Municipality of Montesilvano. Beyond its gastronomic and musical appeal, the festival maintains a strong spirit of community and solidarity, celebrating the historic village and the bond between its citizens.
