The Sagra del Baccalà of Solaro

The Sagra del Baccalà is one of the most delicious gastronomic events of the summer in Solaro, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan on the outskirts of the Saronnese region. Included in the calendar of the Feste d'Estate (Summer Festivals) that liven up the area of the sports center in Corso Berlinguer, the event celebrates one of the most beloved dishes of Italian popular cuisine: baccalà (salt cod), preserved in salt and brought back to life by preparations that smell of tradition.

A festival of flavors

For four days, the festival stands offer cod in various versions, from classic fried dishes to stewed recipes, accompanied by side dishes and specialties. The kitchen works at full speed in the evenings, while the long outdoor tables become a meeting place for the Solaro community and visitors from neighboring towns.

Organized by Universal Solaro

The festival is managed by the Universal Solaro association, one of the organizations that animate the sports center in Corso Berlinguer every summer. The event is part of the town's busy summer program, which features a succession of sagre (food festivals), patron saint festivals, and music evenings between June and July.
