The Sagra dei Sügeli takes place in Verdeggia, a hamlet in the municipality of Triora (province of Imperia) perched in the upper Argentina valley. The stars are the sügeli, small gnocchetti of flour and water, traditionally dressed with bruzzo or sauce, an expression of the Cucina Bianca.
The Cucina Bianca of the Ligurian Alps
The Cucina Bianca is the gastronomic tradition of the shepherds of the Ligurian Alps, based on light-coloured ingredients — milk, cheeses, potatoes, leeks, turnips, flours — which were once the only ones available in the high-altitude pastures. The sügeli are one of its symbols, and the Verdeggia sagra brings them back to the table in all their authenticity.
A village to discover
Verdeggia is one of the most remote and picturesque villages in the Imperia hinterland, on the border with the Ligurian Alps Park. The sagra, included in Triora's summer program, is a precious opportunity to reach this mountain corner and immerse yourself in a rare authentic gastronomic and pastoral culture.

For 2026, the Sagra dei Sügeli is confirmed in Triora's summer program, following the custom of holding it between late July and early August in the hamlet of Verdeggia.
The stars, as always, are the sügeli of the Cucina Bianca, the flour and water gnocchetti of the pastoral tradition of the Ligurian Alps. The precise date will be announced by the organizers closer to the event.
