A dish born from the land

The Sagra degli Spaghetti alla Berettüna is held in Ville San Pietro, a hamlet of Borgomaro in the province of Imperia, in the heart of the Valle Impero. The star is an iconic dish: spaghetti alla Berettüna, dressed with a sauce made from vegetables from local gardens, created from an 80s recipe and now the gastronomic symbol of the village.

The zero-km recipe

The secret of the dish lies in its ingredients: seasonal vegetables grown in the hamlet's gardens, extra virgin olive oil from the valley, and Agnesi pasta, from a historic pasta factory in Imperia. The sauce is enriched by a secret ingredient, guarded by the village women, making each edition of the sagra a unique experience. It's an authentically zero-km offering, celebrating local products.

The patronal feast of San Pietro in Vincoli

The sagra takes place concurrently with the patronal feast of San Pietro in Vincoli, blending gastronomic, religious, and popular traditions. Food stalls open in the evening, while the nights are enlivened by live bands and dancing on a large floor, in the true style of Ligurian hinterland village festivals.

An awarded tradition

Organized by the Pro Loco of Ville San Pietro, one of the oldest associations in western Liguria (founded in 1978), the sagra has been recognized as an Authentic Ligurian Event 2026. This award celebrates the ability of a small community to pass down its traditions and use them as an opportunity for hospitality and local promotion.
