The great vintage vehicle festival at the Marazzato Foundation in Stroppiana
In the area of Stroppiana, a small town in the Province of Vercelli overlooking the rice-growing plains of Piedmont, the Marazzato Foundation houses one of the most important Italian collections of vintage vehicles: over 300 units, including trucks, vans, buses, military vehicles, and classic cars, about a hundred of which are permanently displayed in the showroom along the SP31 road of Monferrato. It is in this setting that Ruote Veloci comes to life every year, a festival that opens the doors of the collection and transforms it into a great popular celebration dedicated to vintage and sports motoring.
Ruote Veloci offers an intense and varied weekend: thematic exhibitions of legendary cars, vintage vehicle rallies, dynamic demonstrations and autocross displays, art and photography exhibitions, virtual reality driving simulators, elegance contests, and many activities designed for families and children. There is always a dedicated food area, with gastronomic stands accompanying the days.
The common thread is the history of Italian motoring, told through the vehicles in the collection and exceptional guests: drivers, champions, engineers, and historians who enliven conferences and meetings open to the public, sharing anecdotes and moments of discussion with enthusiasts.
The 2026 edition, the third of the festival (Ruote Veloci III), took place on May 23rd and 24th and was entirely dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Lancia brand. For the occasion, the Marazzato Foundation set up an extraordinary thematic exhibition with 25 iconic cars from the Turin-based manufacturer, from the historic Lambda, Aurelia, Fulvia, Flavia, and Flaminia to racing bolides such as the Stratos, 037, Delta S4, and the LC1 and LC2 prototypes. The guest of honor was the two-time world rally champion Miki Biasion, who starred in a memorable dynamic exhibition behind the wheel of the Delta HF Integrale Martini.
Thanks to affordable entry and a program capable of appealing to both motor enthusiasts and those looking for a day trip, Ruote Veloci has established itself in just a few years as one of the reference events for vintage motoring in the Vercelli area and eastern Piedmont, attracting over 1,500 visitors to Stroppiana each edition.
On May 23rd and 24th, 2026, the Marazzato Foundation in Stroppiana dedicated the third edition of Ruote Veloci to the 120 years of Lancia. At the heart of the event was a thematic exhibition with 25 legendary cars from the Turin-based manufacturer: from the Lambda, Aurelia, Fulvia, Flavia, and Flaminia to the queens of rallying and endurance like the Stratos, 037, Delta S4, LC1, and LC2. Between conferences, an elegance contest, virtual reality simulators, and autocross trials, the most anticipated moment was the arrival of Miki Biasion, two-time world rally champion.
