The allegorical float parade in the heart of the Susa Valley
The Rosta Carnival is one of the most cherished winter events in this small town on the western outskirts of Turin, at the gateway to the Susa Valley. Organized by the Rosta Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality, it is a festival designed primarily for families and children, filling the town streets with costumes, confetti, and allegorical floats.
The highlight is the allegorical float parade, which travels through the town center in a festive procession. The route starts at Via Stazione and winds its way to Piazza Stazione, the heart of the celebrations. The floats, crafted with passion by local groups and associations, are accompanied by music and costumed performers who engage the public throughout the journey.
Upon arrival at Piazza Stazione, the party continues with dancing, entertainment, and a snack dedicated to children. It is the most anticipated moment for families, who can stop to play, dance, and enjoy typical carnival treats in a simple, welcoming village atmosphere.
