Rock im Stadtl in Glorenza

Rock im Stadtl is the rock music night held in Glorenza/Glurns, in the province of Bolzano (South Tyrol), the smallest walled city in the upper Val Venosta. The event takes place at the local festival grounds (Festival Gelände) and transforms the medieval village into an open-air stage dedicated to rock and hard rock for the day.

An event linked to the 8-Gipfelmarsch

Rock im Stadtl was born as the closing party for the 8-Gipfelmarsch, the extreme eight-peak hike that starts from Glorenza at dawn to reach the summits of the Stelvio National Park, covering about 25 km with a 3,000-meter elevation gain. As hikers return to the valley, the town welcomes them with live music, beer, and traditional dishes: the rock night is the perfect culmination of a day of sport and mountain adventure in the upper Val Venosta.

Music and Atmosphere

The program features a mix of rock, hard rock, and cover bands, with concerts running from the afternoon until late at night. The festival area opens at noon, and the Schützenkompanie Glurns, which organizes the event, manages the food and drink stalls. Admission is free, creating an informal and family-friendly atmosphere that attracts locals, music lovers, and hikers alike.
