Three days of nature, forest bathing, music, and inclusion in the Serra d'Ivrea
The Richiamo del Bosco Festival is a multidisciplinary event held in Roppolo, a small town in the Province of Biella, Piedmont. The festival takes place entirely at the Fondazione Emanuele Cacherano di Bricherasio, in the Morzano district, a location immersed in the greenery of the Serra d'Ivrea overlooking Lake Viverone, whose prehistoric pile dwellings are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Born from the vision of a collective of environmental guides, the festival proposes a different way of relating to nature: the forest is not merely a backdrop, but a space for connection, listening, and personal transformation. It is a call to presence, slowness, and care, aimed at those seeking an authentic experience far from the daily hustle and bustle.
The heart of the Richiamo del Bosco Festival is forest bathing (known as Shinrin-Yoku in Japanese), the practice of mindful immersion in the forest environment to restore physical and mental balance. Alongside guided sessions among the trees, the program weaves together numerous disciplines:
One of the festival's core values is inclusion: the collective collaborates with organizations working with people with visual, cognitive, and other disabilities, turning differences into opportunities for mutual learning through the intense engagement of hearing, smell, and touch. The theme of the 2026 edition, dedicated to kindness, perfectly captures this spirit: care for others and the environment, the regeneration of human bonds, and universal respect.
The Richiamo del Bosco Festival does not charge entry fees: it is conceived according to the gift economy, where everyone can contribute through a voluntary donation. In just a few editions, the event has established itself as one of the most original gatherings in the Biella area and Piedmont, capable of combining slow tourism, sustainability, and high-quality cultural programming in a natural setting of rare beauty.
The third edition of the Richiamo del Bosco Festival focused on the theme of kindness, expressed as care for others, the regeneration of human bonds, and respect for the environment. For three days, the Bricherasio Foundation in Roppolo was transformed into a space for experiences among the woods of the Serra d'Ivrea.
The program alternated between well-being practices, cultural moments, and family activities, confirming the free-entry formula based on the gift economy. Forest bathing, live music, traditional dances, conferences, and workshops brought the entire event to life.
The Bricherasio Foundation is located in the Morzano district of Roppolo (BI), about 7 km from Santhiร , one hour from Turin, and one hour and fifteen minutes from Milan. By car, it is easily accessible from the motorway exits in the Santhiร area.
Admission is free, with voluntary donations accepted according to the gift economy model. Booking for activities is mandatory via the online form available on the official website.
Catering services are available (from breakfast to dinner, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options), as well as a hostel, tent areas, parking, and a camper zone.
Bring comfortable trekking clothing, shoes suitable for trails, and a water bottle. Forest bathing practices take place outdoors: it is best to prepare for a few hours immersed in the woods.
