Live music takes over the historic center of Caluso for the summer solstice
The Caluso Music Festival is the summer event that, every year around the summer solstice, brings the historic center of the town of Caluso, in the province of Turin and the heart of Piedmont, to life. The event is part of the broader national and international Festa della Musica circuit, the June 21st tradition that has celebrated live music in cities across Europe since 1982. In Caluso, the festival has established a solid tradition, with dozens of editions making it one of the most anticipated events of the season.
The format is that of a widespread festival: the squares, streets, and corners of Caluso's historic center transform into stages. From late afternoon until late at night, a succession of concerts, performances, and musical entertainment spans various genres and styles. The event primarily showcases local bands and artists from the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre and the Canavese area, offering a platform for local musical talent and music schools.
Alongside the concerts, the program includes workshops and activities dedicated to discovering music, designed to engage audiences of all ages. The participatory format, combined with completely free admission, makes the Music Festival a meeting point for families, young people, and enthusiasts, drawing visitors from neighboring towns in the Canavese area as well.
The organization is managed by the A.P.S.T. Pro Loco of Caluso, an association of volunteers dedicated to the cultural and tourist promotion of the area, also known for organizing the Grape Festival and the Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG wine festival. The Music Festival is part of a calendar of initiatives aimed at enlivening the village and strengthening its identity.
Caluso is a village in the Canavese area overlooking the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre, famous above all for the production of Erbaluce di Caluso white wine, Piedmont's first DOCG wine made from a single white grape variety. Visiting the town during the Music Festival means combining an evening of concerts with the discovery of a prestigious food and wine territory, among wineries, morainic hills, and winemaking traditions.
The 32nd edition of the Caluso Music Festival takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in the historic center of the town, in the province of Turin. The 2026 edition is themed "The Voice of Places" and features a day of widespread music starting in the late afternoon and continuing late into the night.
The program opens in the afternoon with workshops (starting at 5:00 PM) and continues in the evening with concerts and performances in the village squares. The detailed schedule of artists and times will be released by the organizers on the official poster in the days leading up to the event.
Theme of the 2026 edition: "The Voice of Places".
The full program with the names of the bands and the schedule for each square will be published by the Pro Loco of Caluso on the official poster shortly before the event.
Caluso can be reached by car from the A5 Turin-Aosta motorway (exit Scarmagno or San Giorgio Canavese) or via the SS26 road. By train, the Caluso station is served by the Chivasso-Aosta line. The historic center, where the festival takes place, is easily accessible on foot.
Admission to all events is free.
