Four days of taste, nature, and tradition in the heart of the Canavese region
Every year in mid-June, the village of Moncrivello (province of Vercelli, Piedmont) transforms into the blueberry capital. The Blueberry and Moncrivello Excellence Festival was created to promote the cultivation of the small blue fruit that grows on the hills bordering the Canavese and Vercelli regions. Over the years, it has evolved into much more: a showcase for the food, wine, agricultural, and cultural excellence of the entire territory.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Moncrivello with the support of the Municipality and numerous local associations, the festival attracts thousands of visitors each year who fill the streets and squares of the town for four days of open-air celebration.
The heart of the event is the Blueberry Market, where local producers offer fresh blueberries, jams, syrups, desserts, and many other specialties. Alongside the market, you will find food stands, street food, themed Blueberry lunches and dinners, vineyard tastings, and open cellars, all part of a journey through the authentic flavors of the Moncrivello hills.
The festival also places great emphasis on sustainable agriculture and well-being, featuring conferences, experiential seminars on the world of bees, and workshops dedicated to cultivation and land stewardship.
The program blends tradition with activity: from the Blueberry Run to the Blueberry Walk, as well as tennis and beach volleyball tournaments, sports initiatives accompany the festival throughout its duration. On the cultural front, highlights include guided tours of the Castle of Moncrivello and local blueberry fields, as well as the presentation of the prestigious Golden Blueberry award.
With live music, DJ sets, dance evenings, art workshops, and activities for children, the Blueberry Festival is an event designed for the whole family, where the excellence of Piedmont meets in a festive, popular atmosphere.
The festival takes place in mid-June and lasts for four days, from Thursday to Sunday.
