The flower and plant market exhibition in the historic center of Reggello
When the Florentine Valdarno wakes from its winter slumber, the historic center of Reggello transforms into a vast open-air garden. Reggello Fiorita is the flower and plant market exhibition that has marked the arrival of spring for decades in this town in the province of Florence, nestled between the hills of Pratomagno and the forests of Vallombrosa. Throughout the day, the squares and streets of the town are dressed in colors, scents, and seasonal blooms.
The heart of the event is the numerous nurserymen, both local and from further afield, who display and sell aromatic plants, flowers, floral arrangements, and both common and unusual species. It is the ideal occasion for gardening enthusiasts: you can stroll among the stalls in search of the perfect plant for your garden or terrace, ask experts for advice, and be inspired by the many varieties on display. The atmosphere is that of a genuine, popular Tuscan village festival, where a love for the land and greenery is at home.
Reggello Fiorita is not just a botanical showcase. Along the route, you will also find a craft and upcycling market, featuring pre-loved items that are still functional, as well as cultural initiatives that enrich the day. In past editions, the event has hosted nature walks to discover wild floral species and their medicinal properties, as well as free-entry collective art exhibitions. A program that combines nature, sustainability, and creativity.
Thanks to free admission and a relaxed atmosphere, Reggello Fiorita is perfect for a spring family outing. Strolling among the flowers, discovering local craft products, and breathing the clear air of the Valdarno is a simple and pleasant way to spend a Sunday outdoors. The event is organized by the Pro Loco Reggello e Cascia with the patronage of the Municipality of Reggello, and it is now a classic in the Tuscan spring calendar.
Visiting Reggello Fiorita is also an opportunity to discover the surrounding area. Reggello is famous for its extra virgin olive oil and its proximity to the renowned Abbey of Vallombrosa, nestled in one of the most evocative forests of the Tuscan Apennines. After strolling among the flowers, you can extend your day with a hike in the woods or a visit to the villages of the Florentine Valdarno.
The 2026 edition of Reggello Fiorita was held on Sunday, April 12, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in the historic center of Reggello.
Once again this year, the squares and streets of the town welcomed numerous nurserymen, both local and from further afield, with a wide range of aromatic plants, flowers, seasonal blooms, floral arrangements, and both common and rare species. Alongside the botanical exhibition, visitors were able to browse the stalls of the craft and upcycling market.
The event was organized by the Pro Loco Reggello e Cascia with the patronage of the Municipality of Reggello, with free admission.
