Ravenna Park Race

A Race in the Heart of the Po Delta Park

The Ravenna Park Race is one of the most evocative running events in the Municipality of Ravenna, in Emilia-Romagna. Created as an event for those who love running and walking immersed in nature, it takes place every September in the area of Casalborsetti, a district of the northern Ravenna Lidi, within the wonderful Po Delta Park. The event is organized by Ravenna Runners Club A.S.D., the same organization that manages the Ravenna Marathon, and is part of the rich sports calendar of the Province of Ravenna.

Two Routes for All Abilities

The event offers two courses designed to welcome experienced athletes and simple nature walk enthusiasts:

• 21 km Trail Running — a true competitive half marathon (21.097 km), which mainly runs on flat dirt roads at sea level, almost entirely without elevation changes.
• 10 km Ecowalk — a non-competitive walk, accessible to everyone, ideal for families and landscape lovers, along a flat route through pine forests.

A Unique Landscape Between Pine Forest, Lagoon, and Sea

The routes pass through some of the most precious natural environments of the Ravenna coastline. Among pines, poplars, holm oaks, and the rich undergrowth, participants reach the large salt marshes connected to the sea, also running through sand dunes and strips of land emerging from the water, amidst plants of rare beauty and numerous bird species, such as the famous herons. The course touches the areas of Casalborsetti, Marina Romea, and Porto Corsini, crossing the San Vitale Pine Forest and the Pialassa della Baiona, authentic jewels of the Po Delta Park.

The Park Race Village

The logistical heart and meeting point of the event is the Park Race Village, set up at the CasalB Sport Sports Center on Via Spallazzi, a short walk from the start area. Here, participants collect their bibs, drop off their bags, and soak up the festive atmosphere that accompanies the entire day. The start is scheduled for 9:00 AM for both the competitive trail and the walk.
