The Asparago Bianco di Bassano DOP is one of the most beloved products of the Veneto foothills: tender, sweet, and not bitter, it is grown in the sandy soils around Bassano del Grappa (province of Vicenza) and harvested by hand. Every spring, it is the star of a long Gastronomic Review involving restaurants in the city and the surrounding area.
A tradition of over forty years
Promoted by the Gruppo Ristoratori Bassanesi of Confcommercio, the review offers dedicated menus featuring white asparagus and a series of gala dinners in participating restaurants, where chefs reinterpret the vegetable according to traditional recipes and creative proposals. The season follows the agricultural calendar, with asparagus on the table from Saint Joseph's Day (March 19) to Saint Anthony's Day (June 13).
Between cuisine and local culture
In addition to the dishes, the event is an opportunity to discover the food and wine culture of Bassano and the Veneto region, in dialogue with Italian Cuisine, a candidate for UNESCO heritage. An event eagerly awaited by enthusiasts and tourists who combine their visit to the city of the Ponte degli Alpini with the discovery of an iconic product.

The 46th edition of the Review was presented on March 18 and officially opened the season on March 19, 2026, in line with the tradition of having the Asparago Bianco di Bassano DOP on the table from Saint Joseph's Day to Saint Anthony's Day.
Promoted by the Gruppo Ristoratori Bassanesi of Confcommercio, it offers dedicated menus in the region's restaurants and a calendar of ten gala dinners spread from March 27 to May 22, 2026, where chefs celebrate the vegetable alongside local excellences.
