A devotion spanning over three centuries
The Sagra della Madonna del Carmine is held in Campolongo sul Brenta, a hamlet of the scattered municipality of Valbrenta, in the province of Vicenza. The local church was dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and, for over 350 years, every July 16th — the day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel — the small community has celebrated its patron saint. The festival spans the central two weeks of July, intertwining moments of devotion and popular celebration.
Food stand and Venetian cuisine
From Friday to Sunday, the food stand offers traditional dishes: chicken, ribs and sausage, beans in sauce, polenta and French fries, and especially baccalà, a characteristic product of the Vicenza tradition, expertly prepared by the Pro Loco cooks.
Music, sport, and culture
The program alternates dancing evenings, concerts, sporting events, and tastings. Since 2013, Campolongo has also been among the locations hosting performances of the prestigious Operaestate Festival Veneto in Bassano del Grappa, a sign of cultural vitality that extends beyond the hamlet's borders.

The Sagra della Madonna del Carmine 2026 will return to Campolongo sul Brenta (Valbrenta) in the central two weeks of July, culminating on July 16th, the liturgical feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the day of the patron saint.
As tradition dictates, from Friday to Sunday, there will be alternating dancing evenings, concerts, and sporting events, while the food stand will offer typical dishes and baccalà. The precise dates and detailed program will be released by the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the festival.
