Meldola Lights Up for Summer
With the arrival of the warm season, the historic center of Meldola, a town in the province of Forlì-Cesena in Emilia-Romagna, transforms into a large open-air living room thanks to R'Estate in Paese. The event, promoted by Pro Loco Città di Meldola with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Meldola, spreads a calendar of events over three June evenings designed to enhance the village, its commercial fabric, and the many local associations.
A Journey Through the Village Streets
Each evening has a specific theme and occupies a different part of the center: from the Rocca district, with via Roma, via Brunori, and via Alla Rocca, to Piazza Felice Orsini, via Cavour, Piazza Matteotti, and Piazzetta Amendola. The idea is a distributed festival, where visitors stroll from one square to another encountering tastings, exhibitions, shows, and stages with live music.
Wine, Motors, and Dancing
- Art & Wine in the Old Village: tastings guided by sommeliers from the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS), a showcase of artists and artisans, a preview of the Roccambolesca exhibition, and live concerts.
- Fitness & Motors: performances by local gyms, car and motorcycle exhibitions, a rally of Vespas and Lambrettas, and live music in the squares.
- Dancing and Music Through the City Streets: performances by dance schools featuring Latin dances, hip hop, and Romagnolo folklore, accompanied by food stalls and a craft market.
A Community Celebration
R'Estate in Paese is above all a community event: it involves traders, volunteer associations, Pro Loco, and schools, and it's the moment when Meldola presents itself to its residents and visitors. The evenings also serve as a prelude to the week-long Roccambolesca event, a festival of art and concerts held shortly after at the Rocca di Meldola. Admission to all evenings is free.
R'Estate in Paese — edition 2026
Meldola's summer event returns in 2026 with three themed evenings, all with free admission and running from approximately 7:00 PM to midnight, organized by Pro Loco Città di Meldola and the Municipality. Each event occupies a different area of the historic center, transforming squares and streets into a widespread festival of tastings, exhibitions, shows, and live concerts. The evenings serve as a prelude to the Roccambolesca week at the Rocca di Meldola.

Wednesday, June 3 — Rocca District: Art & Wine in the Old Village

Tuesday, June 9 — Fitness & Motors
Location: via Cavour, Piazza Orsini, Arena Hesperia, Piazza Matteotti. Time: from 7:00 PM to midnight.
- Performances by local gyms
- Exhibition of cars and motorcycles and Vespa and Lambretta rally
- Guest bodybuilder Petar Duper
- Live music from 9:00 PM: Birichina Band, Moon River Band, Seveneven
Tuesday, June 16 — Dancing and Music Through the City Streets
Location: via Roma, via Cavour, Piazza Orsini, Piazzetta Amendola. Time: from 7:00 PM to midnight.
- Performances by local dance schools: Latin dances, hip hop, and Romagnolo folklore
- Final show by Trottole Danzanti
- Food stalls, crafts, and a market for hobbyists
