Liscio Music Closes Summer in Gatteo Mare
After the spring edition in May, the Settimana del Liscio (Liscio Week) returns to Gatteo Mare with its autumn chapter, the September event that bids farewell to the season in this seaside resort. Gatteo Mare is the seaside fraction of the Municipality of Gatteo, in the Province of Forlì-Cesena, in the heart of the Romagna Riviera: for eleven consecutive days, the village transforms into a large open-air ballroom, where dance music sets the rhythm from morning on the beach until late at night.
Eleven Days of Dance Music
The September edition is the longest and most elaborate of the festival: the calendar spans almost two weeks, with evenings at the Rubicone Arena and shows in Piazza della Libertà, featuring orchestras, historic singers, and many couples dancing waltzes, mazurkas, and polkas. Liscio, which originated between Romagna and Emilia with the Casadei dynasty, is not nostalgia here but a vibrant and participatory celebration, capable of uniting experienced dancers, families, and curious holidaymakers.
The Notte del Liscio (Liscio Night)
The pulsating heart of the festival is the Notte del Liscio, scheduled for September 12th: an entire night dedicated to dancing, with music spreading through the town's squares and streets, transforming the entire Gatteo Mare into an open-air dance floor. It is the most anticipated and symbolic moment of the autumn edition, attracting enthusiasts from all over Emilia-Romagna and beyond.
The Direction of Moreno 'Il Biondo'
The event is led by Moreno 'Il Biondo' Conficconi, historic director of the Orchestra Grande Evento and guardian of the Casadei tradition, who is responsible for the artistic direction of the entire Settimana del Liscio. The event is organized by the Gatteo Mare Tourism Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Gatteo, and is part of the rich calendar of the Gatteo Mare Summer Village.

Eleven days of dance music between the Rubicone Arena and Piazza della Libertà, with evening performances, mornings on the beach, and collateral initiatives. The most anticipated moment is the Notte del Liscio (Liscio Night) on September 12th, when dancing invades the town's squares and streets.
Artistic direction is entrusted to Moreno 'Il Biondo' Conficconi; the event is organized by the Gatteo Mare Tourism Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Gatteo.

Based on the usual structure of the Settimana del Liscio, the program includes:

How to Get There
Gatteo Mare is located along the Romagna Riviera, in the Province of Forlì-Cesena. By car: take the Cesena or Rimini Nord exit on the A14 motorway, then follow the SS16 Adriatica state road. By train: Gatteo a Mare station is on the Bologna-Ancona line, a few minutes' walk from the seafront.
Where It Takes Place
The evening events are held at the Rubicone Arena and in Piazza della Libertà; some activities take place on the beach and at the Palazzo del Turismo. The Notte del Liscio on September 12th involves the squares and streets of the entire town.
Admission
Admission to the shows in Piazza della Libertà and the beach events is free. Access to the Rubicone Arena may require the Gatteo Mare Summer Village app, card, or Teo Pass.
