Three days of Apulian street food, dance, and folklore in Piazza D'Oria
For one long weekend, Puglia moves to Piedmont: the Puglia Festival – Viva la Puglia transforms the central Piazza D'Oria in Ciriè, in the heart of the Canavese area near Turin, into a corner of Salento. It is an event dedicated to those who want to taste the authentic flavors of the South without leaving Piedmont, featuring street food, folk music, and a convivial atmosphere.
The heart of the festival is gastronomic. Stalls offer Apulian street food and typical regional products, accompanied by craft beer. A large covered area equipped with tables and chairs allows you to enjoy lunch and dinner in comfort: the event is open for both lunch and dinner, so you can stop by at any time of the day.
Beyond the food, the Puglia Festival showcases Southern folklore: entertainment, music, and traditional dances mark the three days to the rhythm of pizzica and tarantella. There are also dance classes open to everyone and workshops, such as the one dedicated to handmade orecchiette in the square, to experience Apulian tradition up close.
Organized by Be Different Eventi with the patronage of the City of Ciriè, the event features free admission and is aimed at families, groups of friends, and curious visitors of all ages. It is an opportunity to discover the traditions of one of Italy's most beloved regions, just a few kilometers from Turin and the Lanzo Valleys.
