About Porquesì

In San Terenziano, a hamlet of Gualdo Cattaneo (province of Perugia), Porquesì is born, the festival dedicated to porchetta and its masters. From morning to late evening, the village transforms into a stage of flavors, traditions, and community: historic Umbrian porchetta makers, local wines, workshops, shows, and music for all ages. Promoted by the Municipality of Gualdo Cattaneo and organized by Un/Lab, it is free entry.

San Terenziano: The Porchetta Capital

In the village of San Terenziano, a hamlet of Gualdo Cattaneo in the province of Perugia, Porquesì makes its debut, a festival entirely dedicated to porchetta, one of Umbria's gastronomic excellences, and to the master porchetta makers who preserve its tradition. For three days, the village, from 11 AM until late evening, becomes a lively and colorful scene of flavors, local culture, and conviviality.

The Porchetta Masters

The heart of the event features the historic porchetta makers from the area, including La Porchetta di Grutti (since 1939), Natalizi with Cicotto Slow Food Presidium, Antica Porchetteria Granieri 1916, Porchetta di Marcellano, Antica Norcineria dal 1936, Carletti Enzo dal 1925, Porchetta di Pantalla Mastrini dal 1969, and Il Ghiottone Porchetta di Bevagna. Alongside the stands, there are workshops, shows, and activities for all ages, accompanied by Umbrian wines.

A New Major Event

Also presented in Rome, Porquesì is promoted by the Municipality of Gualdo Cattaneo and organized by Un/Lab, with the aim of enhancing an iconic Umbrian product and the entire Gualdo area. Even at its debut, the event saw a large public turnout.

Porquesì — edition 2026

The 1st edition of Porquesì was held in San Terenziano from May 15 to 17, 2026. Three days dedicated to porchetta and its masters, featuring historic Umbrian porchetta makers, local wines, workshops, shows, and music. Promoted by the Municipality of Gualdo Cattaneo and organized by Un/Lab, with free admission.

The first edition of Porquesì transformed San Terenziano into a stage of taste from May 15 to 17, 2026. The official inauguration was on Friday, May 15, at 5:30 PM in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III, with a rich program of stands by historic porchetta makers, tastings, workshops, shows, and music. The event, with free admission, recorded extraordinary public turnout according to the organizers.

Friday, May 15

  • From 11:00 AM — Festival opening: porchetta maker stands, tastings, and activities in the village.
  • 5:30 PM — Official inauguration in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III.
  • 8:00 PMDJ Manciucca: disco, dance, and pop music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s.

Saturday, May 16

  • From 11:00 AM — Porchetta maker stands, workshops, and activities for all ages.
  • 5:00 PM–7:00 PM — Street band Anarchia Ritmica through the village streets.
  • From 6:00 PM (Giardino dei SenSì) — DJ Fisco (soft house & much more).
  • From 9:00 PM (Giardino dei SenSì) — DJ Priscilla: Italian and dance music from the '80s to today.

Sunday, May 17

  • From 11:00 AM — Porchetta maker stands and closing activities.
  • 6:00 PM–8:00 PM — Street band Anarchia Ritmica through the streets of San Terenziano.
  • From 6:00 PM (Giardino dei SenSì) — DJ Fisco.
  • From 8:00 PMDiana cover band.
  • From 9:30 PM — Closing party night with DJ Fisco.

How to Get There

San Terenziano is a hamlet of Gualdo Cattaneo (PG). By car from the E45 (Todi exit) or the SS3 Flaminia. The inauguration takes place in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III.
