The White Night is the event that officially launches the summer in Poggibonsi, a lively hub in the Val d'Elsa, in the province of Siena, in the heart of Tuscany. Promoted by the ViaMaestra Natural Shopping Centre with the support of the Municipality of Poggibonsi, Confesercenti, Confcommercio, and the Elsa Foundation, it has become one of the most anticipated and well-attended events on the city's calendar: a night when the historic centre stays bright and bustling until the early hours of the morning.

A city that becomes a stage

For one whole night, squares, streets, and corners of the centre turn into spaces dedicated to music, dance, and entertainment. From Piazza Mazzini to Piazza Savonarola, from Piazza Berlinguer to Piazza Matteotti, every spot offers something different: performances by local dance schools, live concerts, roving acts, and DJ sets that keep residents and visitors entertained until late. It is a community celebration designed to involve families, young people, and fans of music and folk traditions.

The Dancing Fountains

The most recent edition introduced a major new feature: the hypnotic show of the Dancing Fountains in Piazza Berlinguer, with jets of water dancing to the rhythm of music and illuminated in a thousand shades of colour. A spectacular display that captivated the audience and has become one of the highlights of the evening.

Music, dance, and roving performances

The programme spans various genres and styles: from dance schools to live bands, from the Balkan sounds of roving orchestras to DJ sets, as well as street theatre with stilt walkers, trapeze artists, and fire shows from previous editions. There is no shortage of spaces dedicated to children and food stalls set up in the squares, with options catering to those with food intolerances.
