About Fiuggi Gourmet

Fiuggi Gourmet is the food and wine festival hosted by the Municipality of Fiuggi, dedicated to the flavors of the Ciociaria region. For an entire weekend in late November, the Palacongressi transforms into a grand showcase for local producers, featuring free tastings, show-cooking sessions with star chefs, workshops by students from the local hospitality school, and talks on quality and supply chain traceability. This free-admission event is designed to introduce visitors to the wines, oils, cheeses, and traditional sweets of the Frosinone province.

A showcase for the flavors of Ciociaria

Fiuggi Gourmet is the food and wine event promoted by the Municipality of Fiuggi, located in the province of Frosinone, in the heart of the hilly Lazio region. Launched in 2025, the festival takes over the modern Palacongressiโ€”the city's premier convention and event centerโ€”for two full days, putting the spotlight on local production: wines, extra virgin olive oils, cheeses, cured meats, preserves, and traditional Ciociarian sweets.

The core concept is simple yet effective: rather than a standard commercial fair, it is a space where the public can meet the farmers, breeders, and producers directly, enjoy free tastings, and learn about the origins of what ends up on their plates. It is also a perfect opportunity to discover Fiuggi outside the spa season, when the city is dressed in the colors of autumn.

How the event is organized

The convention area is divided into three distinct zones to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, even during peak hours:

  • Exhibition Area โ€” around twenty stands featuring selected local producers, with free tastings and direct sales;
  • Show-Cooking Area โ€” the stage where professional chefs and hospitality school students take turns;
  • Conference Area โ€” talks and round tables dedicated to nutrition, supply chains, and food and wine tourism.

Table service and hospitality are managed by students from the IPSSEOA Michelangelo Buonarroti in Fiuggi, who use the event as a professional training groundโ€”a detail that speaks volumes about the festival's spirit, which is more educational than purely spectacular.

Star chefs and gourmet cuisine

The main draw remains the show-cooking program. During the inaugural edition, prominent chefs from the Lazio and Ciociaria scene took the stage, combining cooking demonstrations with public interviews about their craft, raw materials, and the relationship between haute cuisine and local products. Alongside the professionals, hospitality students present their own creations throughout the day, fostering a generational exchange that has become one of the event's hallmarks.

Beyond tastings: the talks

A portion of the program is reserved for meetings and discussions. Topics include nutrition and prevention, supply chain traceability, and food and wine tourism as a driver for development in small inland towns. These short, accessible sessions are designed for curious food lovers rather than industry experts, helping attendees appreciate the tastings with a new perspective.

Fiuggi, the city of water and fine dining

Known worldwide for its mineral water and thermal spas, Fiuggi is also the ideal starting point for exploring the Ciociaria region: the medieval village of Fiuggi Alta, the Ernici Mountains, the abbeys, and the perched towns of the Frosinone province. An event like Fiuggi Gourmet, held in late November, extends the tourist season and invites visitors to a weekend that combines fine dining, strolls through the historic center, and excursions in the surrounding area.

Why it's worth visiting

  • Free admission and tastings offered by producers;
  • Continuous hours from late morning until evening, convenient for a day trip;
  • A concrete opportunity to buy directly from Lazio producers;
  • A program suitable for families, featuring tastings, demonstrations, and talks.

Fiuggi Gourmet โ€” edition 2026

Following the 2025 inaugural edition, Fiuggi Gourmet is expected to return to the Palacongressi in Fiuggi in late autumn. At the moment, the Municipality of Fiuggi has not yet released the official dates or the program for the new edition: the information provided here is based on the previous year's experience and will be updated as soon as the organization makes the calendar public.

2026 Edition: awaiting the announcement

The dates and program for the 2026 edition of Fiuggi Gourmet have not yet been announced by the Municipality of Fiuggi. The first edition took place on the last weekend of November 2025 at the Palacongressi, featuring producer stands, show-cooking, and talks: it is reasonable to expect a similar schedule, but nothing is confirmed at this time.

Those wishing to participate can follow the official channels of the Municipality of Fiuggi and the event's Facebook page, where the calendar, hours, and meeting schedules are published. We will update this page as soon as official information is released.

Practical information — Fiuggi Gourmet

Getting there

Fiuggi can be reached by car via the A1 motorway (Anagni-Fiuggi exit), about 20 minutes from the toll booth, or along the SR155. From Rome, the journey takes about an hour and a half. By train, the reference station is Anagni-Fiuggi, which is connected to the town center by Cotral bus lines. The Palacongressi has parking available in the immediate vicinity.

Admission and hours

Admission to the event is free. In the 2025 edition, the stands were open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on both days; tastings at the producers' stands were complimentary, with the option for direct purchase.

Tips

At the end of November, temperatures in the hills can be quite cold: appropriate clothing is recommended for moving between the town center and the Palacongressi. Fiuggi offers excellent hotel accommodations linked to spa tourism, making it easy to combine your visit with an overnight stay and a day at the thermal baths or in the village of Fiuggi Alta.
