In Bagnolo Piemonte, nestled in the heart of the Cuneo province at the foot of the Po and Pellice valleys, you will find PietraTec - Stone and Mechanization Fair. This technical exhibition is dedicated to the renowned Luserna Stone, a lamellar gneiss extracted almost exclusively in this corner of Piedmont. With Bagnolo accounting for over 70% of production, there is no better place to host such a specialized fair.
The event follows a biennial format and is organized by the APS Pro Loco Bagnolo Piemonte in collaboration with the local municipality and industry trade associations. More than just a commercial showcase, PietraTec serves as a meeting platform for companies, professionals, and the local community, blending stone-working tradition, technological innovation, and culture.
Exhibition areas and activities
The fair is spread across several town squares. The Technical Expo Area, located in Piazza Senatore Paire, brings together over 60 exhibitors showcasing the latest trends and innovations in stone processing. Nearby, you will find the PietraTec Pavilion, featuring training sessions, B2B meetings, and a new multimedia area with large LED screens and immersive documentaries on the production cycle. Among the most anticipated additions is the Pietra Home section, dedicated to home design and interior finishes.
There is also plenty for the general public and families: the Food Area in Piazza Divisione Alpina offers local specialties, while the Kids' Area in Piazza San Pietro hosts workshops and entertainment during the weekend. The event is rounded off by cultural moments, exhibitions, and side events that highlight the human and productive value of this historic supply chain.
An appointment for professionals
PietraTec attracts over 600 professionals from Piedmont, Liguria, and the Aosta Valley. The program of technical conferences at the Pala PietraTec is aimed at architects, engineers, surveyors, and construction companies, with the opportunity to earn professional training credits. It is the perfect occasion to understand how Luserna Stone continues to be an eternal and sustainable material for contemporary architecture.
PietraTec — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of PietraTec took place from May 21 to 24 in Bagnolo Piemonte, spanning four days for the first time. Inaugurated on May 21 in the presence of Mayor Roberto Baldi and representatives of the Piedmont Regional Council, the fair confirmed the town's role as the capital of Luserna Stone in the North-West, with over 600 professionals expected from Piedmont, Liguria, and the Aosta Valley.
Great attention was paid to the new Pietra Home area, dedicated to design and home finishes, and to the multimedia area with LED screens and immersive documentaries on the supply chain. The event was organized by the APS Pro Loco Bagnolo Piemonte with the Municipality and industry trade associations.
