PergiNEXT, the youth festival in Alta Valsugana

PergiNEXT is the event that dedicates an entire weekend to the younger generation in Pergine Valsugana, in the province of Trento and the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The event was born from an idea of the Municipal Youth Council of Pergine Valsugana, in collaboration with numerous associations, informal groups, and local organizations active in the Alta Valsugana area. The name itself, which combines Pergine and the word "next," captures the spirit of the project: looking ahead and imagining the future based on the ideas and energy of the youth.

A festival made by youth, for youth

The formula for PergiNEXT is both simple and ambitious: to build a space where young people can explore new ideas, discover new passions, and create support networks that accompany them on their personal and professional growth paths. It is not an event imposed from above, but a participatory project where the entire youth community of the area comes together to develop connections, leadership, and a true sense of community.

Talks, meetings, music, and workshops

The PergiNEXT program alternates between moments of reflection and celebration. Throughout the days, there are numerous talks and meetings on topics dear to the new generations: sports, environment and ecology, economic and financial education, health, volunteering, and solidarity, as well as the potential and challenges of social media and the digital world. There are also workshops, labs, exhibitions, and social moments like the international aperitif, designed to encourage encounters between different cultures.

The festival venues

The beating heart of the event is Parco dei Canopi, a green space in the center of Pergine Valsugana, complemented by the town's squares and historic buildings, such as Palazzo a Prato and Piazza Municipio, which host concerts, meetings, and guided tours. This spread of events transforms the entire town center for a weekend into a hub of social activity, animated by the proposals of youth groups from Alta Valsugana.

A community project

More than just a simple calendar of events, PergiNEXT is an active citizenship laboratory promoted by the Municipality of Pergine Valsugana through its Youth Council. The event gives space to youth activism and public participation, involving associations, volunteers, and local entities in the shared construction of the program. For Pergine Valsugana and the entire Alta Valsugana area, it represents a precious opportunity to put new generations and their ideas at the center.
