The pop culture, gaming, and cosplay festival in Trentino
Pergine Comics is the leading event dedicated to comics, gaming, and pop culture in Trentino-Alto Adige. Originally launched as the region's first comic and cosplay fair, it takes place in the historic center of Pergine Valsugana, in the province of Trento, where ancient squares and palaces turn into a giant, free-entry urban playground for an entire weekend.
The festival's signature formula is collective play: visitors are not mere spectators but active participants. Using the festival's symbolic currency, the Perzin Dollar, attendees unlock missions, challenges, and experiences scattered throughout the town—from hunting down undercover cosplayers to completing trials in various themed zones. It is an original way to explore the city and soak up the nerd atmosphere in every corner.
Every edition brings legendary Italian voice actors, illustrators, creators, and bands linked to the world of cartoons and video games to Pergine, with concerts, meet-and-greets, and autograph sessions animating the program until late. With over fifty events packed into a few days, Pergine Comics has become a landmark for pop culture fans across the entire Alpine region.
The event is organized by Pro Loco Pergine APS with the support of the Municipality of Pergine Valsugana and the collaboration of local schools, cultural associations, and gaming groups, highlighting the strong community spirit that defines events in Trentino.
The 2026 edition of Pergine Comics took place from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14 in the historic center of Pergine Valsugana, in Trentino. The festival opened on Friday evening with the murder mystery dinner "Urla dal tempo: I sussurri di Palazzo Hippoliti," an immersive theatrical show set in the historic Palazzo Hippoliti.
Saturday featured the Magic Factor show, the DisneiAmo musical, and the comedy concert by Gem Boy in the evening. Sunday was dedicated to the great voices of Italian dubbing, with Pietro Ubaldi, the historic voice of Doraemon, and Maurizio Merluzzo, voice actor and creator, followed by the official cosplay contest and the Toon Academia concert.
The themed areas in the town's squares and palaces were confirmed: the Video Game Palace at Palazzo a Prato with the regional qualifying stage of the Mario Kart tournament, the Cosplay Village in Piazza Fruet, the role-playing game area, the Artist Alley, the family area, and the comics-themed food area. Admission to the festival was free.
Areas active throughout the weekend: Video Game Palace (Mario Kart tournament), Cosplay Village, role-playing and board games, Artist Alley, family area with virtual reality experiences, Nerd Market, and food area.
