The Ostrich Festival in Manciano

The Ostrich Festival is the summer event that brings Manciano to life every July. This small village, part of the municipality of Castiglion Fiorentino in the province of Arezzo, lies in the heart of the Tuscan Valdichiana. Organized by G.S. Manciano A.S.D. e A.P.S., the festival has carved out a special place among local events in the Arezzo area thanks to its original culinary concept: the star dish here is not the typical festival fare, but ostrich meat, served in a variety of delicious ways.

Ostrich as the star of the table

The heart of the festival is the food stalls set up at the Manciano sports field. Ostrich is featured in numerous recipes, from grilled preparations to more elaborate main courses, in a menu that highlights a lean, flavorful meat that is still rare on Italian tables. Alongside the main attraction, the stalls offer a wide selection of Tuscan specialties and a pizzeria, satisfying those who prefer more traditional flavors. Service begins in the evening, around 8:00 PM, allowing guests to dine outdoors during the warm summer nights of the Valdichiana.

The Ostrich Festival is about more than just good food.
