Voice and organ at the Sanctuary of San Vito Martire
As part of the 25th edition of Organalia, the historic Piedmontese festival dedicated to organ music, the town of Nole hosts the concert "Baroque Atmospheres". The event takes place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 9:15 PM in the Sanctuary of San Vito Martire, one of the most beloved sacred sites in the Ciriacese area, nestled in the countryside just a few kilometers from the town center, towards the Stura river.
The evening brings together two captivating timbres: the voice of soprano Gaia Castagneri and the sounds of the organ played by Umberto Bo. The program, built around the Baroque repertoire, guides the listener through arias and instrumental pieces that capture the refined atmosphere of the 17th and 18th centuries. The intimate acoustics of the sanctuary and the spiritual setting amplify the charm of a repertoire specifically designed for such spaces.
The Nole stop is part of the first series of the 2026 season, titled "From Turin towards the Ciriacese and Canavese areas", scheduled from May 2 to July 5. This musical itinerary visits numerous municipalities in the Metropolitan City of Turin — from Chivasso to Mathi, from Cirié to San Maurizio Canavese, from Villanova Canavese to Cuorgné — bringing high-quality concerts to churches, basilicas, and sanctuaries across the Piedmontese territory.
Promoted by the Organalia Cultural Association, the festival was founded in 2001 with the goal of rediscovering and protecting the organ heritage of Piedmont. Reaching its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2026, Organalia has become a benchmark for lovers of sacred and organ music, successfully combining interpretative excellence with the promotion of instruments and locations often little-known to the general public.
Built in the second half of the 16th century, the Sanctuary of San Vito Martire stands about two kilometers from the center of Nole, in a peaceful natural setting that makes it one of the most evocative stops in the Ciriacese district. It is included among the stations of the Green Crown (Corona Verde) project, a testament to the deep bond between religious heritage, landscape, and local identity.
