Immaginaria, the Christmas that illuminates Venaria Reale
Every year, from the beginning of December until Epiphany, the town of Venaria Reale (Province of Turin) transforms into a grand tale of light with Immaginaria, the Christmas festival that brings the historic village and the grounds of the famous UNESCO-listed Royal Palace to life. Promoted by the City of Venaria Reale together with the Consortium of Savoy Royal Residences and the Via Maestra Foundation, it has become one of the most anticipated events of the Piedmontese Christmas season.
The Luminographie video mapping
The visual heart of Immaginaria is Luminographie, the signature video mapping created by Italo-French light designer Gaspare Di Caro. At nightfall, the facades of the Royal Palace, the Clock Tower, the Castelvecchio, and the historic buildings in the center light up with plays of shapes and colors, creating spectacular light projections that envelop Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza dell'Annunziata in a fairy-tale atmosphere.
A month of events between the Village and the Palace
Beyond the lights, Immaginaria offers a packed calendar: Christmas markets with crafts and local products along Via Mensa, gospel and sacred music concerts, theatrical performances and ballets at the Teatro Concordia, creative workshops for children, nativity scenes scattered throughout the city, photography exhibitions, and parades. From December 26th, the Christmas Evenings at the Palace offer extraordinary night openings with tours immersed in the magic of the holidays.

L'edizione 2026 di Immaginaria si svolgerà dal 6 dicembre 2026 al 6 gennaio 2027 nel Borgo Antico e alla Reggia di Venaria Reale (Provincia di Torino). Le date sono confermate dal sito ufficiale lavenaria.it.
Come da tradizione, ogni sera al calar del buio il video mapping Luminographie, firmato dal light designer Gaspare Di Caro, illuminerà le facciate della Reggia e gli edifici storici del centro. Sono attesi anche i mercatini di Natale, concerti, spettacoli, laboratori per famiglie e le Sere di Natale alla Reggia con aperture serali straordinarie.

Sulla base delle edizioni passate, la manifestazione prevede ogni sera il video mapping Luminographie sulle facciate della Reggia e nelle piazze del Borgo Antico, mercatini di Natale, concerti, spettacoli al Teatro Concordia, laboratori per famiglie, presepi diffusi e le Sere di Natale alla Reggia dal 26 dicembre. How to get there
Venaria Reale is located about 10 km northwest of Turin. It can be reached by car from the ring road (Venaria exit) and by GTT public transport from Turin. The historic village is pedestrianized and easy to explore on foot.

From the beginning of December until January 6th. The video mapping is activated every evening at nightfall in the central squares.
Information
