OFF - Outdoor Free Festival: outdoor sports in the heart of the Monregalese

OFF - Outdoor Free Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the outdoor season in the province of Cuneo. Organized by the Unione Montana Mondolè, this widespread, free festival transforms the Monregalese territory into a massive open-air playground every June. The event involves six municipalities in south-western Piedmont: Chiusa di Pesio, Frabosa Soprana, Frabosa Sottana, Pianfei, Roccaforte Mondovì, and Villanova Mondovì, offering families, enthusiasts, and athletes the chance to experience the mountains in all their glory.

Outdoor activities

The heart of the festival lies in its ten-plus outdoor sporting activities, offered for free upon reservation and organized into three difficulty levels (beginner, intermediate, and expert) to ensure accessibility for both novices and seasoned athletes. Featured disciplines include:

• E-bike and mountain bike tours, including routes specifically for kids;
• Trekking and excursions to discover the valley trails;
• Rock climbing;
• Horse riding;
• Flight experiences;
• Yoga immersed in nature;
• Biathlon.

Activities take place across the six participating municipalities, including the mountainous areas of Frabosa Sottana, allowing participants to explore forests, alpine pastures, and the breathtaking views of the Monregalese valleys.

The OFF Village and special guests

Alongside the widespread activities, the festival features a central village with static entertainment, a food court, and shows: bicycle gymkhana, laser biathlon, a 3D delta flight simulator, and slacklining. The program is enriched by prominent guests from the outdoor scene, including athletes, explorers, and travelers who share their feats with the public, alongside sporting demonstrations. One of the flagship competitive events is the MUT - Mondolé Experience, a race that traverses the district's valleys with start and finish lines in Roccaforte Mondovì.
