About Social Camping
A social campsite at the foot of the Stura Valley
The Nuovi Mondi Social Camping is the welcoming, decentralized heart of the Nuovi Mondi Festival, hosted for a full month in the municipality of Roccasparvera, in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. While the main festival focuses on Rittana during the first few days of July, the Social Camping extends the experience until July 30, transforming the La Rocca area on Via del Potato into a tent village where you can sleep, meet others, and experience the mountains at a slower pace.
More than a campsite: a temporary community
The Roccasparvera site is not just a simple campground, but a model of participatory hospitality. Created in collaboration with Ferrino, the technical partner providing the tents, and the Cooperativa Proposta 80, the project also involves guests from the La Rocca community and numerous young European volunteers who arrived thanks to the CHILL project — Community Hub Living Labs in Inland. The result is a temporary community built on exchange, relationships, and care for the local area.
What to expect at the Social Camping
For one month, the campsite offers a constantly updated calendar of shows, film screenings, workshops, and wellness appointments. Everything is designed to weave culture and nature together, giving participants the chance to experience the Stura Valley through its woods, trails, and moments of sharing.

The Social Camping is an integral part of the Nuovi Mondi Festival, the mountain film and cultural meeting event based in Rittana, just a few kilometers away, within the Montagna Futura cultural district. Those who choose to stay in Roccasparvera can experience the festival from the inside, immersed in the alpine landscape, and extend the experience well beyond the festival dates.
