The race that lights up the Silvi seafront

The Notturna Silvi Che Corre is a road running race held in the town of Silvi, on the coast of the Teramo province in Abruzzo. The event brings hundreds of runners to the northern seafront of Silvi Marina for an evening race that combines sport, social interaction, and the charm of the sea at sunset. Established in 2025, it has quickly become a highly anticipated date on the Abruzzo late-summer running calendar.

The seaside course

The route consists of a city circuit to be repeated several times, designed along the streets of the northern district of Silvi Marina, including Via Taranto and Via Forcella. The course runs alongside the Cerrano Marine Protected Area, one of the most precious natural corners of the Teramo coast, dominated by the historic Torre di Cerrano. The total distance for the competitive race is approximately 9 kilometers, on a flat and fast loop that is ideal for achieving good times.

Races and participants

The event offers various ways to participate: a competitive race of approximately 9 km reserved for registered athletes, a non-competitive trial open to all walkers and enthusiasts, and races for children with youth categories. Timing is managed by Timingrun. The event is part of regional running circuits and, from its very first edition, has also held status as a national road championship event.

Organization and territory

Notturna Silvi Che Corre is organized by the association ASD Selva Maris with technical support from Atletica Vomano and the collaboration of the Silvi municipal administration. The race serves as a moment of sporting promotion for the area, showcasing the seafront and the tourist identity of Silvi Marina, one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. The evening atmosphere, with the seafront lights and the crowd along the route, gives the event the feel of a festival open to the entire community.
