NID Platform in Collegno, at the heart of Italian dance
NID Platform โ New Italian Dance Platform is the most important national showcase dedicated to contemporary auteur dance. Established in 2012 as a biennial event and having become annual in recent years, the platform brings together artists, choreographers, programmers, distributors, institutions, and journalists from Italy and abroad for four days, with the aim of giving visibility to national choreographic production and fostering touring opportunities in Italy and internationally.
In 2026, the festival celebrates its tenth edition and, for the first time in its history, it is not hosted by a single city but by an entire region, Piedmont. From September 1st to 4th, 2026, the performances will be distributed between Turin, Collegno, Moncalieri, and Venaria Reale, traversing some of the most representative sites of urban and cultural regeneration in the area.
The Lavanderia a Vapore, the Collegno venue
In the municipality of Collegno, in the Province of Turin, the event's landmark is the Lavanderia a Vapore, at Corso Pastrengo 51, located within the former psychiatric hospital complex that has since become one of Italy's leading centers for dance residency and production. Alongside the Lavanderia a Vapore, the tenth NID Platform involves the Fonderie Limone in Moncalieri, the Teatro Astra, the OGR Torino, the Casa del Teatro Ragazzi e Giovani, and the Reggia di Venaria Reale.
"Choreographies of the Possible"
The theme of the tenth edition, "Choreographies of the Possible," focuses on the power of dance to imagine new connections and narrate the present through the body. The program brings together 18 artistic proposals: the Programming section with 14 selected performances, the Open Studios with 4 works in development, and two guest productions outside of the selection.
A project supported by institutions
The 2026 edition of NID Platform is coordinated locally by the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Piedmont Region. The platform is a project by dance distribution professionals, designed as a tool to promote the Italian choreographic system to international programmers.

For its tenth edition, NID Platform โ New Italian Dance Platform chooses Piedmont as its protagonist territory, distributing events from September 1st to 4th, 2026, between Collegno, Turin, Moncalieri, and Venaria Reale. In Collegno, the reference point is the Lavanderia a Vapore, at Corso Pastrengo 51.

Highlights NID Platform 2026
The tenth edition marks a historic milestone: for the first time, NID Platform is hosted by an entire region, Piedmont, with the Lavanderia a Vapore in Collegno among the main venues. Among the most anticipated names in the Programming are Francesca Pennini with CollettivO CineticO, Nicola Galli, Michele Di Stefano with KLm, Michele Abbondanza and Antonella Bertoni, and Michela Lucenti with Balletto Civile.

How to get there
The Collegno venue is the Lavanderia a Vapore, at Corso Pastrengo 51. It is easily accessible from Turin via the metro: the reference stop is Fermi, the terminus of line 1. The other platform venues are located between Turin, Moncalieri, and Venaria Reale, and a shuttle circuit between the different spaces is planned during the four days.
Accreditation and tickets
NID Platform is a professional platform aimed primarily at operators and programmers, with performances also open to the public. Accreditation procedures and ticket purchasing for individual performances will be announced on the official website nidplatform.it as the event approaches.
