A community toast in the heart of Casaluce

Every December 31st, Piazza Statuto becomes the meeting point for all of Casaluce for the Year-End Toast, the event through which the Pro Loco of Casaluce "Casaluci" APS, with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality of Casaluce, bids farewell to the closing year and welcomes the new one. It is a simple and heartfelt appointment, designed for both adults and children: as the municipal administration describes it, "a simple and joyful way to exchange greetings and start the new year with smiles and lightheartedness".

Sparkling wine, panettone, and plenty of entertainment

On the morning of December 31st, the square comes alive with the traditional toast accompanied by sparkling wine and panettone, offered to the citizens. For the little ones, the program is enriched with shows and activities: magic, cotton candy and popcorn, creative workshops, balloons, music, baby dance, and face painting. It is a widespread and informal celebration, where local families meet outdoors to share the last day of the year.

The calendar and the Madonna di Casaluce

During the morning, the Pro Loco "Casaluci" distributes its annual calendar, dedicated to the translation of the Madonna di Casaluce, a tradition recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Campania. This gesture links the festive moment to the memory and identity of the town, recalling how deeply rooted Marian devotion is in Casaluce's history.

Casaluce, between Caserta and Campania

Casaluce is a town of about nine thousand inhabitants in the province of Caserta, in the heart of Campania. Piazza Statuto is its premier gathering space, serving as the stage for numerous Pro Loco initiatives throughout the year. The Year-End Toast represents one of these community moments, capable of transforming a simple winter morning into an occasion for shared celebration, dedicated to exchanging greetings and being together.
