Twelve hours of non-stop partying at the film and TV theme park, just outside Rome
Every December 31st, Cinecittà World, the film and television-themed amusement park located in Castel Romano, within the Municipality of Rome (Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Lazio), turns into a massive New Year's Eve party. The formula is well-established: twelve hours of non-stop fun, from 6 PM to 6 AM, with attractions open until late at night, live shows, DJ sets, and themed dinners served in the park's restaurants. It is a great alternative to the historic city center squares for those looking for an organized, indoor-friendly New Year's Eve celebration that is also suitable for families.
The heart of the evening is the musical program, spread across four stages included in the entry price, each with a distinct sonic identity. Guests can move freely from one stage to another, alternating between concerts, entertainment, and open-air dancing along the park's scenic avenues.
At the stroke of midnight, the park pauses for a collective countdown: the sky above Castel Romano lights up with a pyrotechnic show featuring over 3,000 fireworks, choreographed to music and light effects. It is the most photographed moment of the night, followed by the resumption of the party, which continues until dawn for those who have no intention of sleeping.
You can also experience New Year's Eve at Cinecittà World through its culinary offerings. The park offers four dinner and gala packages, each set in a different themed restaurant: the Ristorante Roma with classic Italian cuisine, the Saloon in a Western setting, the Charleston Club with a 1920s cinema-style gala, and the VIP Room for the most exclusive experience. These dinner packages are highly sought after and regularly sell out in the weeks leading up to the event; advance booking is essentially mandatory. Reduced menus and rates are available for children.
Unlike many New Year's Eve events, this proposal is deliberately inclusive: with over 40 attractions open, themed areas inspired by cinema, and live shows, the audience ranges from groups of young people staying until 6 AM to families with children taking advantage of the early evening hours. Park entry is free for children under one meter tall.
In the landscape of Roman New Year's Eve events, Cinecittà World occupies a unique niche: it is neither a massive public square concert nor a typical nightclub night, but a hybrid format—amusement park, multi-stage music festival, and gala dinner—that allows you to build your own night. Its location along the Via Pontina, south of the capital, makes it easily accessible by car from the entire Lazio coast and the Castelli Romani, with a dedicated shuttle service from Rome for those who prefer to leave their car at home.
The Castel Romano park opened its gates at 6 PM on December 31, 2025 and closed them only at 6 AM on January 1, 2026: twelve hours of continuous partying, with attractions running until late at night and music spread across four different stages, all included in the entry ticket.
The musical programming alternated between live Italian revival and commercial DJ sets on Cinecittà Street, the Reggaeton Stage at Teatro 4 active from 10 PM with Latin rhythms and group dances, the battle between 90s and 2000s dance music at Teatro 1, and the Face 2 Face NYE by Neon area, dedicated to hard, tech, and electro sounds with international DJs.
At midnight, the collective countdown was followed by a pyrotechnic show with over 3,000 fireworks. On the gastronomic front, the park offered four different settings — Ristorante Roma, Saloon in Western style, Charleston Club with a 1920s gala, and the VIP Room — with the latter two selling out in pre-sale.
Cinecittà World, Via Irina Alberti, Castel Romano — 00128 Rome (RM), Lazio.
By car: from the Grande Raccordo Anulare, take the Via Pontina exit towards Pomezia/Latina, then follow signs for Castel Romano; ample parking available (fee required). By shuttle: on New Year's Eve, a bus service to and from Rome is active (departures from Roma Termini and Roma Palasport), with indicative rates between 17 and 35 euros per person; seats are limited, online booking is recommended.
Open from 6 PM on December 31st until 6 AM on January 1st. Entry starts from approximately 40 euros (plus booking fees), with the four musical stages included. Packages with dinner or gala start from approximately 100 euros. Free entry for children under one meter tall.
Re-entry is not allowed with the same ticket: it is best to plan for the entire evening. Dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes (a large part of the party is outdoors). Those arriving from afar can consider park + hotel packages offered by facilities in the Pomezia and Castel Romano area.
The park is largely accessible to people with motor disabilities; the VIP Room, on the first floor, is not served by an elevator.
