The food and wine festival in Cardito celebrating Neapolitan strawberries and asparagus
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Neapolitan Strawberry and Asparagus Festival is one of the most deeply rooted food and wine events in the territory north of Naples. Every spring, Parco Taglia in Cardito, in the heart of the province of Naples, comes alive with stalls, colors, and scents, celebrating two iconic products of local agriculture: the strawberry and the Neapolitan asparagus. Established in the nineties, the event reached the milestone of its 30th edition in 2025, confirming its status as a benchmark for promoting the agri-food excellence of Campania.
For generations, strawberries and asparagus have represented a significant part of the local farming economy. The festival was born precisely to pay homage to this agricultural vocation, offering the public the opportunity to meet producers up close, taste traditional dishes, and rediscover the genuine flavors of the land. The food stalls offer specialties prepared with the two stars of the event, ranging from savory asparagus dishes to strawberry-based desserts and treats.
Beyond gastronomy, the event is a great community celebration. The program of past editions has featured folk dances, folk groups, dance schools, and live music, transforming the park into a true village of taste, culture, and popular traditions. The atmosphere is the convivial one of village festivals, where families gather and generations meet.
Ample space is dedicated to children, with educational paths on strawberry and asparagus cultivation, creative workshops, cooking classes, games, entertainment, and treasure hunts with prizes. It is a way to introduce younger generations to agricultural culture and the value of zero-mile products.
The festival is organized by the Associazione Club Belvedere 2.0, chaired by Pasquale Barra, with the patronage of the Municipality of Cardito and the support of local businesses. Over the years, the event has established itself as a showcase for traditions and typical products, attracting visitors from all over Campania and helping to promote the image of Cardito and the entire area north of the Neapolitan capital.
The next edition of the Neapolitan Strawberry and Asparagus Festival in Cardito is expected in the spring of 2026, but there are currently no confirmed official dates. To stay updated on the calendar and program, it is best to follow the social media channels of the Associazione Club Belvedere 2.0, which organizes the event.
The festival is held at Parco Taglia in Cardito (NA), in Campania. The center of Cardito is easily accessible from the Asse Mediano junctions and the nearby city of Naples.
By car: Cardito is connected to Naples and its hinterland via the Asse Mediano and the SS7bis. By public transport: the area is served by local bus lines connecting the municipalities of the northern Naples area.
Access to village festivals is traditionally free; food and drink at the stalls are for purchase. For updated dates, times, and details, we recommend checking the organizers' social media channels.
