The premier agricultural trade show of Central-Southern Italy at the Abruzzo Exhibition Centre
The National Agriculture Fair is the benchmark event for agriculture in Central-Southern Italy and one of the most deep-rooted fixtures in the calendar of the Municipality of Lanciano, in the province of Chieti, in the heart of Abruzzo. Established in 1961, the fair takes place every spring at the Abruzzo Exhibition Centre, a modern facility in the Iconicella district that has become a strategic hub for the entire agricultural sector of Southern Italy.
The fair spans approximately 30,000 square metres, with over 8,500 square metres of indoor space across three pavilions, hosting more than 200 exhibitors from all over Italy. The core of the exhibition is dedicated to state-of-the-art agricultural machinery, tractors, and equipment for viticulture and olive growingโkey sectors for the Abruzzo economy. Alongside historic brands, the event features new companies and innovative ventures, with over 500 product categories on display.
Each edition tackles the major themes of the industry: ecological transition, digitalisation, agricultural robotics, drone usage, sustainable crop management, workplace safety, and food and wine. The rich programme of conferences and workshops involves institutions and trade associations such as Coldiretti, Confagricoltura, ASL, INAIL, and local professional bodies, offering training and professional development opportunities for farmers and technicians.
The Fair is not merely a technical event: it is also a showcase for Abruzzo's food and wine excellence and folk traditions. Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy performances by the Flag-wavers and Musicians Group, workshops curated by students from agricultural institutes, and dedicated spaces for local products, organic districts, and brands from the Teatino area. It is an opportunity to bridge the future of agriculture with the cultural roots of the city of Lanciano.
Aimed at industry professionals, agricultural entrepreneurs, families, and enthusiasts alike, the National Agriculture Fair serves as an annual meeting point between tradition and innovation, confirming the role of Lanciano and Abruzzo as a crossroads for Italian agriculture.
