The Calci stop of the widespread festival in the province of Pisa, set within the Baroque surroundings of the Certosa Monumentale.
In the heart of the Tuscan summer, the Certosa Monumentale di Calci becomes one of the most fascinating stages of the Musicastrada Festival, the widespread, traveling festival that has been crossing the villages of the province of Pisa for nearly thirty years. Promoted by the Musicastrada Association, it is considered a unique boutique festival in Italy: music is not consumed in a large, anonymous space, but becomes a shared experience in extraordinary, limited-capacity locations, at sunset or by night, in an atmosphere where the distance between performer and listener vanishes.
The Calci stop takes place at the Certosa Monumentale di Calci, a vast complex located on the slopes of Monte Pisano, a few kilometers from Pisa, in the Municipality of Calci, in the Province of Pisa. Founded in 1366 and expanded between the 17th and 18th centuries, the Certosa stands today as a magnificent Baroque monument immersed in a highly evocative landscape: it currently houses a national museum and the Natural History Museum of the University of Pisa. Performing in this place means combining listening, landscape, and heritage, in line with the philosophy that defines Musicastrada.
For the 27th edition of the festival, scheduled from July 10 to August 2, 2026, Calci hosts a concert by Eugenio in Via di Gioia on Wednesday, July 22, at 7:45 PM. They are one of the most recognizable and beloved bands of the new Italian songwriting scene, capable of blending intelligent lyrics, live energy, and social commitment. The concert is part of a rich program that, in the following weeks, brings other names of Italian music to the Certosa, from Roberto Angelini and Rodrigo D'Erasmo to Carmen Consoli, Nada, and Dimartino.
Musicastrada is about more than just music and scenery. The 2026 edition relaunches the "suspended ticket" project, carried out in collaboration with the Arnera Social Cooperative of Pontedera: those who wish can purchase an extra ticket to be left available for those who cannot afford one, ensuring that culture is increasingly accessible and inclusive. The festival is supported, among others, by the Tuscany Region, the Ministry of Culture, and CNA Pisa, which also promotes local craft breweries at the various stops.

Certosa Monumentale di Calci, in Calci (PI), in the Province of Pisa, on the slopes of Monte Pisano, a few kilometers from Pisa.
By car from Pisa, you can reach Calci in about 15 km by following the signs for the Certosa. The reference train station is Pisa Centrale, from which you can continue by car or bus towards Calci. We recommend arriving early due to limited parking availability near the complex.
Concert on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, starting at 7:45 PM. Tickets start at 20 euros, with a discounted price for advance purchases compared to the box office on the night of the concert. Tickets are available online on the Dice platform. The "suspended ticket" project is active in collaboration with the Arnera Social Cooperative.
Capacity is limited and many concerts often sell out: it is advisable to secure your ticket in advance. As this is an evening outdoor event in the hills, it is useful to bring something to keep warm in the evening air.
