Concerts in nature within the Monte Baldo Park, between Ala and the Vallagarina valley
Musica Natura Relazioni is the summer concert series promoted by the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park, bringing together the five municipalities of the district—Ala, Avio, Brentonico, Mori, and Nago-Torbole—in a single program spread across the Vallagarina valley and the Trentino side of Lake Garda. The project was born from the idea of bringing live music to the Park's most evocative locations: mountain dairies, alpine churches, mountain huts, forests, and historic theaters become natural stages where listening and landscape merge. The organization is managed by the Superflùo association, under the artistic direction of Giovanni Costantini.
In the municipality of Ala, in the province of Trento, the festival offers some of its most characteristic moments. Concerts are held at Sega di Ala, a mountain village overlooking the Park, at Maso Eccheli in the picturesque Valle dei Ronchi, and in the historic Teatro G. Sartori in the center of Ala. Many events in the meadows and mountain dairies are preceded by a guided walk, accompanying the audience to the concert venue along the trails of Monte Baldo, in an experience that combines hiking, listening, and environmental discovery.
The programming ranges from classical music to jazz, from European folk to popular sounds, featuring chamber ensembles, choirs, quartets, and bands. A special role is played by the Palestra d'Orchestra, an orchestral workshop that brings together teachers and young musicians, traditionally closing the festival with final concerts also hosted at the Teatro Sartori in Ala. The common thread remains the relationship between sound, nature, and community: hence the title of the event, which weaves together music, environment, and human relationships.
Musica Natura Relazioni is more than just a concert season: it is a cultural project that enhances the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park and its municipalities, promoting slow, environmentally conscious tourism. The events, often free or low-cost, are also designed for families and involve residents, local associations, and visitors. For paid events and walks, booking is recommended, with discounts for those under 25, residents of the Park's municipalities, and members of partner associations, while admission is free for children up to 12 years old.
Known as the "City of Velvet" and famous for its Baroque historic center, Ala is the southern gateway to Trentino and the Monte Baldo Park. Hosting part of the festival here means combining the town's historical and artistic heritage with the natural beauty of the mountains, offering visitors an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
The 2026 edition of the festival runs from July 18 to August 30 with ten events in the five municipalities of the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park. In the Ala area, three concerts are scheduled. On July 25, at Sega di Ala, an event designed for families featuring Soledad Rivas and Francesca Righi will take place. On August 1, at Maso Eccheli in the Valle dei Ronchi, the Ziganoff Jazzmer Band will be the star of a paid event preceded by a walk. On August 30, in the historic Teatro G. Sartori of Ala, the festival closes with concerts by the Palestra d'Orchestra conducted by Giovanni Costantini.
Paid events have a ticket price of 8 euros, reduced to 5 euros for those under 25, residents of the Park's municipalities, and SAT members; admission is free for children up to 12 years old. Booking is recommended on the festival's official website.
Ala is located along the Adige Valley, in the province of Trento. By car, it can be reached via the A22 Brenner motorway (Ala-Avio exit) and the SS12 state road. By train, the Ala station is served by the Verona–Brenner line. Events at Sega di Ala and in the Valle dei Ronchi are reached by car along mountain roads; some appointments include a guided walk to the concert venue.
Many events are free; paid events have a ticket price of approximately 8 euros, with a reduced price of 5 euros for those under 25, residents of the Park's municipalities, and members of partner associations.
