A celebration among the stone houses of Potrich

Potrich is one of the oldest hamlets in the municipality of Terragnolo, in the Province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), nestled in a sunny position at an altitude of 1,053 meters beneath the slopes of Mount Finonchio. The village overlooks the entire Terragnolo valley, one of the Leno Valleys along with Trambileno and Vallarsa, and preserves the suspended atmosphere of small mountain towns: a few stone houses, narrow alleys, silence, and open panoramas. Today, very few people live there permanently, but on weekends and especially during the summer season, Potrich comes back to life, becoming a meeting point for friends, families, and visitors.

A community celebration

The Potrich Festival was born from this very spirit: it is a local hamlet festival, designed for locals and guests to come together, rediscover the roots of the village, and spend a day outdoors in an authentic corner of the Trentino mountains. It is a community-sized event, far from the large crowds of more famous festivals, but rich in that genuine warmth that characterizes the village celebrations of the Leno Valleys.

The event is part of the busy summer program of Terragnolo, which enlivens its hamlets, mountain huts, and small churches between July and August with a series of outdoor celebrations: from the festivities at Malga Borcola and Malga Bisorte to the initiatives of the "Community Fountains," up to the festival at the small church of Santa Maria Maddalena. The Potrich Festival is a stop on this widespread calendar, inviting you to discover the territory by walking from one village to another.

A territory to be rediscovered

Reaching Potrich means immersing yourself in a landscape of forests, meadows, and ancient farmsteads, where the history of the Great War and peasant traditions still intertwine today. The Terragnolo valley offers hiking trails, historical landmarks, and typical products of the Trentino mountains. The festival is the perfect opportunity to combine the discovery of the village with a day of conviviality, amidst the greenery and the panorama that embraces the entire valley from above.
